Wike accuses Fubara of ingratitude, vows never to support him in his political life again. 

Rivers State is in a political crisis, with former Governor Nyesom Wike accusing his successor, Governor Siminialayi Fubara, of ingratitude and lies. Wike, now the FCT Minister, made the accusations during an interview on Channels Television's Politics.

Wike alleged that Governor Fubara denied the platform that brought him to power, describing the action as unfair. He emphasized the importance of acknowledging and appreciating the efforts of those who contributed to one's success.

"In every political family, you run elections under people and people believe that we are all together. We must keep our political structure.

“You rose through somewhere, why do you deny it? It’s unfair and you want me to sit down,” he stated.

The crisis between Wike and Fubara has been going on for months, with 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly defecting from the PDP to the APC in support of Wike. The lawmakers accused Fubara of not paying them and attempted to impeach him.

Wike vowed never to support Fubara again, citing his alleged ingratitude and lies. He emphasized that he sacrificed to ensure Fubara's success and brought him into politics.

 The crisis may lead to further divisions and defections, potentially affecting the party's chances in future elections.
