Randy Waldrum Resigns as Super Falcons Coach Due to Family Health Issues

Randy Waldrum has resigned from his position as head coach of the Super Falcons, citing his wife’s health problems as the primary reason. The 67-year-old coach, who began his tenure in 2020, has found the past few weeks particularly difficult due to his wife's condition.

Waldrum made the decision to step down to give the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) ample time to find a suitable successor. His final match with the team was the Super Falcons' group stage game against Japan at the 2024 Olympic Games.

During his time with the Super Falcons, Waldrum demonstrated great dedication and passion, despite initially rejecting the role three years ago. He also managed the Pittsburgh Panthers concurrently, reflecting his versatility and commitment to football. His departure marks the end of his tenure, and the NFF will now begin the search for a new coach to lead the team.
