Federal Government Announces Commencement of Petrol Supply from Dangote Refinery

The Federal Government has announced that the supply of petrol from the Dangote Refinery will commence on September 15, 2024, following an agreement on pricing and supply with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC).

NNPC will remain the sole off-taker of petrol from the refinery, with other marketers purchasing the product from the national oil company.

Zacch Adedeji, Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and member of the Presidential Committee on the Sale of Crude Oil and Refined Products, disclosed this in Abuja.

Adedeji stated that NNPC Limited will commence the supply of 385,000 barrels of crude oil to Dangote Refinery on October 1, 2024, in exchange for petrol and diesel of equivalent value to be sold in the domestic market and paid for in Naira.
