Borno Floods: Reno Omokri Criticizes Peter Obi for Alleged Silence

Reno Omokri has reproached Peter Obi for his perceived lack of response to the severe flooding in Borno State. The disaster, triggered by a dam collapse in northeastern Nigeria, has led to widespread destruction and a worsening humanitarian crisis, affecting around a million people.

Omokri, a former social media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, accused Obi of insensitivity for not addressing the situation publicly. He pointed out that while Obi was seen celebrating in Edo State, he had not commented on the Borno floods, suggesting that Obi’s response might differ if the disaster had occurred in Igboland.

Shortly after Omokri’s criticism, Peter Obi responded on social media, expressing his deep sorrow over the tragedy. Obi extended his condolences and hoped for strength and resilience for those affected.
