Nollywood actress, Sharon Okpamen dies after childbirth

Nollywood actress Sharon Okpamen passed away on Sunday, just a month after giving birth to her second child. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by her colleague, Stanley Ontop, in an Instagram post on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Stanley wrote, "It's a sad day for Nollywood and the Edo entertainment industry as actress and producer Sharon Okpamen has sadly passed away. Sharon, known for her work as a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, will be greatly missed."

On July 31, Sharon had shared the news of her second child's birth on Facebook. Tragically, she reportedly fell into a coma after the delivery and eventually passed away. May her soul rest in peace.
