Chelsea reach agreement to sign 24-year-old star on a six-year deal as Gallagher exit opens again.

Chelsea are close to announcing another signing, with reports claiming they have reached agreement to sign their 24-year-old target.

The Blues are not messing around this summer. They mean business and are looking to assemble a strong squad as they eye silverware this season.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea have agreed a permanent deal with Atletico Madrid for Joao Felix. The report claims that the former Benfica attacker has agreed to a six-year contract with a one-year extension option.

Furthermore, Sky Sports have claimed that Joao Felix's move to Chelsea could mean that Conor Gallagher's £36m (€42m) transfer to Atletico is back on.

The England midfielder flew to Spain some days ago to complete a move to Atletico, but couldn't do that after a break in negotiations between the involved parties. However, the Spanish club remained determined to sign the England midfielder and could soon have their man.
